Noninvasive multimodality cardiac imaging, including echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, cardiac computed tomography und nuclear imaging, has become a cornerstone for establishing the diagnosis, planning the treatment, monitoring therapy and risk stratify patients with cardiac diseases. Further, cardiac imaging inherits information, which can be analyzed by radiomics, translated into 3D printing and simulated with the use of computational fluid dynamics. Based on different examples, I will present you the potential of contemporary and future approaches of using cardiac imaging to allowimproving patient care in various clinical settings.
