The presentation will show the development of SLOW-EPSI from its beginnings to the current version at 7T for clinical use in glioma patients. The development tried to address the problems of lipid contamination and spectral artifacts around 4-4.5 ppm. Originally, SLOW-EPSI was developed for detecting 2-Hydroxyglutarate (2HG), which is a biomark for IDH-mutant. Resently, in addition to 2HG, it has been modified to detect cystathionine which is a potential biomark of 1p/19q-codeletion.
